Where are you located?

I am currently operating from home, bases in Shotover, Queenstown. You will receive pick up address after an order has been placed. You will receive an email notification from me with your order summary and pick up details.

Is your kitchen licenced?

Yes, my home kitchen is registered and licenced with the QLDC.

Do you deliver?

Yes we do. All orders over $100 qualify for free delivery within Queenstown (delivery boundaries are Jacks Point, Sunshine Bay, Arthurs Point and Lake Hayes Estate). Please see my term and conditions to see the  most up to date delivery costs to areas in and around the Otago region.

I've placed my order but I did not receive the confirmation email?

Please check your junk mail. Our confirmation email are usually sent out immediately when you confirmed your purchase. If you did not get the email after 24 hours, please contact us via our get in touch page or send me an email at nadine@thecountrycakery.com

Do you have gluten free / dairy-free / vegan option?

Yes we can happily offer a range of dietary cakes, however please note that whilst we will do our best to provide a dietary cakes, these will be prepared in a kitchen where a full range of flours, nuts, seeds, dairy etc is used and I cannot guarantee there would not be cross contamination

How long in advance should I book?

I would encourage you to book your cake as far in advance as possible as my diary does fill up quickly. That being said I am happy to help with a last minute or urgent order if I am able too.

How are cakes priced?

Custom Cakes are priced individually, this is based on the size, finish, theme, decorations and work required. I will always provide a personalised quote based on your vision and happy to work within a budget if I am able too.

Should I keep my cake in the fridge?

Yes you can happily store your Swiss Meringue Buttercream cake in the fridge, removing her from the fridge approx 1-1.5 hours before serving. Fondant covered cake should NOT be stored in the Fridge and rather stored in a cool dry place

What's the best way to transport my cake?

Dont be scared to transport your cake, but do ensure she is placed on a flat surface - the floor in front of your front passenger seat or boot being the best. Please ensure your car is airconditioned and the heater is switched off as well as keep her out of direct sunlight. PLEASE do not travel with the cake on someone's lap or on the seat and these are both not level and can result in damage to the cake (sadly we will not be held responsible for any damage once the cake has been collected)
